The Engagement Story

We are excited to announce that Angela Register and David Edmonson are soon to become, Mr. and Mrs. Edmonson!!!

Many of you have already heard or seen on Facebook…but we wanted to make it official in this strange world that we live in where "official" is considered sending an email :-)

Angela officially said "yes" on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at the Great Harvest Bread Company on Due West Road. We were on the way home from looking at an apartment, and decided to stop in there for lunch. Much to our surprise, there was a little 2 man, acoustic band playing over in the corner. The music was so relaxing and the atmosphere was so refreshing that we just sat there and listened for an hour after we finished munching on our overly healthy sandwiches.

For 2 months I had been trying to get the right ring (which I had custom designed) but the manufacturer messed it up. So with no more will to live my life with out Angela, I decided that I was going to take my nieces plastic, shiny, stretchy, toy diamond ring and just ask Angela to marry me! I had the ring in my pocket the whole week waiting for the right moment.

Now at the Great Harvest Bread Company as we were soaking up the tunes and the sunlight from the gigantic glass windows, I knew the time was right! The band was about to leave when I leaned over and said: "so all I have to do is ask right?"

She said: "yes"

"So will you marry me? Will you really marry me?" then I got down on my knee. "Will you REALLY marry me?"

After several unanimous "yeses," it was official. I heard the band in the back ground say "is he really doing what I think he's doing?" then the music started up again! They also managed to take a few AWESOME photos of us during the moment.

So, here we are, getting married on March 28th, 2009 (tentative but hopefully), no ring, not place to stay, but lots of love and plenty of faith that God will get all the details worked out. At least we already have a main act for our wedding!
